Good to know

The property is a 3rd floor flat in a historic (B listed) building at the heart of the world famous Edinburgh Old Town. The rooms are spacious considering the age of the property, and are well lit and warm. There are many sockets/power outlets throughout the property and some travel adapters are provided. The living room comfortably seats 4, both at the dining table and in the lounge area, and has a work station for things which really can't wait. One of the sofas is a sofa bed for which bedding can be provided. The bathroom has a shower and a bath (and, of course, a toilet and sink). Mini candles and some free mini soaps are provided. The bathroom is the only room which is notably small. The toilet has a slow flush refill rate which most guests have no issue with but some find difficult to navigate. The bedroom has plenty of storage space and the bed has a heated blanket to ensure that every night is a cozy night. The kitchen is a galley with everything you really need in a kitchen (full size fridge freezer, washer and dryer, microwave, kettle, toaster, sink, all the crockery and a Dolce Gusto coffee machine). House Rules

General Additional Rules: Please don't make any permanent changes to the property (no nails in walls etc). Please don't use adhesives on anything that is there when you arrive. Damage can incur fees proportional to the damage. Respect the quiet hours and other inhabitants of the stair. A fee of a minimum of £50 and a maximum of £450 can be incurred if disruption is reported and is evidenced. This fee will be extended as a compensatory gesture to the offended party. In the specific case of stains left on linens or towels which do not come off in the laundry and significantly prohibit future use for guests, the following fees be incurred charged: Bed Linens: For pillow case and duvet cover: £20 or equal to the value of the set per damaged set. Damage to even a single cover incurs the full set fee. For fitted sheet: £12 or equal to the value of the sheet per damaged sheet. Towels: £5 per damaged bath towel. £2 per damaged face towel. This being the case PLEASE remove make up. In the past year more than £200 worth of linens have been destroyed permanently by make-up stains. Check in/out: Early check-ins and bag drops can often be arranged and are generally free of charge, get in touch to discuss. Checkout is 11AM. Get in touch regarding and late check out requests with 24hrs notice. Late checkout with less then 24hrs notice is considered unexpected. Unexpected late checkout incurs the following fees (although the host has the right to waive these). + 10 mins - Grace Period (Free) + 11 mins up to 1 hour - +£75 + 1 hour up to 2 hours - +£150 + 2 hours or more - +£175 per hour

Accessibility

Neighborhood

A minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the royal mile, the Old Town is Edinburgh's most prolific cultural tourist area. The Old Town is therefore considered very upmarket, as property is not just space, but a slice of history. Being so busy it is well policed and looked after.

Guest Access

As a guest you have the full property to yourself. The only place you aren't allowed is up into the crawl space, but very few people have any desire to visit the crawl space anyway. Please bear in mind there is no wheelchair access as the building is historic.

Excelente ubicación y amplio departamento. Zona segura. Valoramos y resaltamos los detalles de atención que tuvieron, nos sentimos plenamente cómodos y seguros, no faltó nada!! Quedamos sorprendidos por lo minucioso de la atención recibida, los felicitamos como anfitriones! Bardzo dobrze wyposażony apartament. Czysty i ciepły (byliśmy w lutym). Wszystko zgodnie z opisem i zdjęciami. Bardzo pomocny gospodarz. Ścisłe centrum, co może wiązać się z hałasem w nocy. Polecam! Udany pobyt.

Find us

Parking is challenging in the area. You can often find deals for private spaces in the vicinity on "Your Parking Space" (.com). There is sometimes on street paid parking but it is scarce. Public transport is excellent, with bus stops less than a minute away most of the city is accessible within an hour (although walking is quicker for a large number of central locations). For those looking to travel farther afield (or a little faster) Edinburgh's main train station, Edinburgh Waverley, is a 6 minute walk and provides rapid travel options for the whole of the UK. Taxi's and Private Hire vehicles (Uber etc) are regularly available. The Airport is to Edinburgh's West. Most public transport options in Edinburgh have a means by which to get there, including the special, blue Lothian Buses "Skylink" routes and the infamous Edinburgh trams.
